More than 15 years ago, Dan Sweeny, an American from Kansas City, visited Malinalco — a Pueblo Mágico in the State of Mexico — for the first time. Captivated by its natural beauty and unique energy, he decided to stay. It was here that he discovered a piece of land surrounded by mountains, avocado trees, and a profound sense of tranquility that inspired him to create something truly special.
Over time, that land evolved into what is now Camper Club Malinalco: a property spanning more than 8 hectares, featuring sports facilities, adventure areas, and inviting spaces designed for exploration and connection.
As a private hotel, we specialize in exclusive full-property rentals for school camps, corporate events, social gatherings, and retreats, offering an immersive experience in the heart of nature — designed for both children and adults.
Our facilities comfortably accommodate 200–250 guests and include a covered open-air event pavilion with capacity for more than 300 people, ideal for meetings, conferences, social events, and group activities.
Additionally, with the recent opening of new guest rooms, an event pavilion, and a chapel, we launched our sister brand, Gran Malinalco, specializing in social events such as weddings, birthday celebrations, corporate celebrations and more. Gran Malinalco offers comprehensive planning, design, and production services to make every celebration unique and unforgettable.
